Junior Chef Rylan started decorating cookies with me when she was two years old. She started out with Christmas cookies and progressed to Gingerbread houses. Now that she's become a junior pro, she is the official Junior Chef for Epicurean Delights!

Join her in this special how-to that will turn any of your household junior chef's into real professionals in no time! You can watch the full video on how your kids can make this fun project on the Kids Shamrock cake page.

Let's get started!

Ingredients

  • 1 cake mix

  • Eggs

  • Oil

  • Buttermilk

  • * LorAnn Peppermint Bakery Emulsion

  • * LorAnn Vanilla Bean Paste

  • * LorAnn Green Gel Color

  • * Ultimate Baker Sprinkles

  • Heart shaped cupcake pans

  • Cake board

Directions

Prepare cake mix according to the directions on the box. Rylan substituted buttermilk for the liquid. When you add fresh ingredients to the mix, it takes the 'cake box' flavor out and gives it more of a homemade flavor.

Grease each cupcake pan with butter. Be sure to use parchment paper in the pan. It will be much easier to remove the cake from the pan once it's done.

Bake!

Make sure you secure the cupcake to the board!!
