Making Basil Parmesan Twists is easy and quick with just a few ingredients. Puff pastry, pesto, and Parmesan come together for a crispy, savory appetizer. These work great on a charcuterie board, as a side for pasta, or just as a snack.

You’ll need pre-made puff pastry, basil pesto, and Parmesan cheese. Roll out the pastry, spread the pesto, sprinkle Parmesan, cut into strips, and twist. Bake at 400°F for about 20 minutes until golden brown. That’s it.

Recipe Ingredients:

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed

  • 2 heaping tablespoons basil pesto

  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • Flour (for rolling, if needed)

Recipe Directions:

  • Preheat oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  • Roll out the puff pastry slightly on a floured surface.

  • Spread pesto evenly over the pastry using an offset spatula.

  • Sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top.

  • Cut the pastry into strips, about ½-inch wide.

  • Twist each strip and place it on the baking sheet with space between.

  • Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown.

  • Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy!
