Desiccated Coconut
Desiccated coconut is easy to make and can be used in cake recipes, cookie recipes and garnishes on cake and cookies. It even makes a great cocktail glass garnish! The key to making this is to use unsulfured, unsweetened coconut.
Recipe Ingredients:
1 3/4 cup Bob’s Redmill, Unsweetened, Unsulfured coconut
Recipe Directions:
In a blender place coconut and blend until finely blended. You can make this several days in advance and store it until ready to use. Note that we found freshly desiccated coconut makes a moister cake where pre-made days in advance or store bought desiccated coconut it will create a dryer crumb.
